Weekly Round Up – 1/27/13

This week we celebrated some special Disney events, including the release of the Vinylmation series Whiskers and Tales, and Long Lost Friends week at the parks.  We also took part in a blog hop about our favorite martian (we chose Stitch, of course!)

We also ran a small contest on our facebook page, with prizes going to the people that commented and were actively involved in our community this past week.  Congratulations to Jenn Rosseter and Elizabeth Moses!  Teresa will be reaching out to you about sending your prize.

The Disney Food Blog featured a post on Star Wars and Disney Valentine’s Treats at Target.  They seem to have a large variety of Star Wars items, as well as a good share of Disney.  I especially love the idea for a Valentine’s Day Disney movie night!

This week’s limited time magic event from the Disney Parks blog isn’t actually taking place in the parks, which means you can participate at home!  Check it out to vote for your favorite 2014 design that will be featured on select merchandise throughout that year.

 Mouse Troop posted this fabulous list of Disney Parks and attractions music, including background information.  All of the music listed is available for purchase on either iTunes or Amazon.

An article on making Disney memories at home appeared on the Affordable Mouse.  In it, she talks about making Disney recipes at home, including her husband’s attempt to replicate the stew from the Rose and Crown!

Some exciting news for this Broadway musical fan: Stitch Kingdom shared an article with information on Aladdin the musical, heading to Broadway in 2014!  The songs from the film will be included, as well as some new ones.
